About Zarahemla/Morgan

This 97-acre camp, located two miles south of Porterville, Utah, on Highway 66, is divided into two large, well-equipped campgrounds. Zarahemla-East includes ten acres of developed camping facilities, with another 70 acres of undeveloped wilderness terrain of sage, oak brush, willow, and grassy fields. It is located in river-bottom terrain surrounded by farmland. It includes, 12 rustic sleeping cabins (no heat, or electricity) with bunks to accommodate 180. A fire ring is adjacent to each cabin. Many additional tent sites are available. It has a large amphitheater, pavillion with electricity, indoor restrooms with shower facilities, and hiking trails. The pavillion and amphitheater are both handicapped-accessible. Zarahemla-West has 15-acres of developed camping facilities with another 70 acres of undeveloped wilderness. It has a large lodge with a full kitchen, six flush toilets and eight showers, numerous campsites with fire rings along the river, a ball field, a volleyball court, a basketball standard, hiking trails, and lots of grassy open areas. The lodge and bathrooms have electricity and are handicapped-accessible. East Canyon Creek runs through both campgrounds, providing water for many cottonwood trees. These sites are near East Canyon Lake and Forest Service hiking trails. A caretaker is on site.
